the Mycelian Domain

Time to battle some Fungi warriors

The party will enter the Mycelian Domain and fight off the Red Spore invaders to save the Origin [Mycelian founder] from the DARK SPORE... a banished Mycelian back for revenge with his red spore infected minions to claim the Mycelian Domain.!!!!!
Will the party live long enough to claim the enchanted prize from Origin? We will see.... MUAHAHAHAHA

​Session 1 Sep.21.2025

**

Our adventurers show up on Ambian, not understanding or comprehending what or where they are. Sakamoto,from Japan, Lucious from Greece and Pete an alchemist from ancient Rome.

the trio meet up on a well trodden path and at first are reluctant to greet each other. After a few minutes one speaks and realizes they can all understand each other. After a few moments of chatter trying to figure out what happened, why and where they are now, there is a shriek from the forest just to the north of them. They decide to investigate. Upon entering the forest on what seems to be a path of sorts, they come across a being that none of them expected they would see let alone have ever imagined seeing.

The beast had a mushroom cap head,with 2 eye sockets appearing up front. The trio is getting the sense that this creature wants them to follow it.

They do.

As they approach the shroom cap being, a long tentacle suddenly reaches out from the darkness to grab one of our heroes.

It luckily misses and the three adventurers engage the odd beast and combat ensues!!

Out of the shadows lurks a large Mushroom shaped beast with long tentacles covered with red glowing spores.

After several failed attempts the trio finally dispatch the beast and decide to follow the Shroom being to its domain to investigate what is going on.

After descending for what felt like forever, the party enter into a world very strange from anything theyve seen back on Earth. The ground is covered in a moss substance and there are mushrooms growing everywhere. The ground is squishy but still able to be walked on.

The small schroom cap being they met on the surface doesnt seem to speak but the party gets a weird sensation every time it walks into a clump of the moss. They all get the feeling like the shroom cap being is sharing its feelings and using them to communicate. The trio all suddenly feel a sense of desperation and fear as they are sharing feelings with this Mycleian. They all agree to investigate this further to try to figure out what it wants.

As they continue forward into the Mycelian domain, now they get a sense of a name for this place, COPRINOP. 

Not really understanding how or why they now know this they get an over whelming feeling of loyalty and the need to protect these beings in COPRINOP.

Scanning the terrain the party sees that Eastern half of the domain seems to be covered in a black moss and tons of red spores, while the Western side of the territory is covered in a green moss with several different coloured shroom caps and spores growing abundantly.

To the far West there is a tall tower like structure that connects the roof and the floor of this under ground domain. To the East there are two more tower structures. One to the North East, is covered in black moss riddled with red spores, while the other to the south East is also surrounded by the moss, but the tower itself is a dark grey almost black colour. 

As the party continues to survey the area in front of them they notice a skirmish to the north. They look at the shroom cap being and it immediately transmits a sense of fear and loss. The party notices that several of these shroom beings are fighting with what looks to be other shroom creatures but larger and scarier looking, covered in red spores.

Suddenly, from out of the black moss in front of them, three black creatures appear. Looking like mutated crows with deformed beaks, no wings and large claws, covered in red spores. Instantly the small shroom cap being disappears into one of the clumps of moss next to it. The party engages the beasts. After nearly losing two of our heroes, they dispatch the creatures and head back toward the Western side of the territory. The small shroom cap being re-appears and with it a smaller shroom cap creature covered in blue spores. After a few minutes the smaller shroom cap being shed the blue spores and restores some health back to the party.

They agree to rest up and seem to feel they are at a safe distance from the main battle

​Session 2 Oct.05.2025

**

Now rested up after their first encounter with a spore crow beast here in COPRINOP,decide to investigate more territory to see if they can help these beings re-claim their domain from these red spore invaders. The group moves slightly north to see if they can join the battle, but are intercepted before they can get very far. Three large tank-sized shroom cap beasts rise from some black moss and approach the adventurers. Not wasting any thought, the party engages the beasts and COMBAT is waged!

Our heroes manage to dispatch two of the beasts. As they decide to engage the third, Sakamoto bolts from the group and heads East to check out something that he glimpsed from the corner of his eye. He comes upon a large spike covered beast. Almost reptilian looking and yet has a head with a mushroom cap. Sakamoto decides he want to ride one of these beasts and see if he can control it. He rushes forward an attempts a leap onto the rear quarters of one of the spiked shroom beasts. Not a good idea! Sakamoto doesnt land well and takes several cuts and slashes as he attempts to gain a foot hold on the creature. He abandons his quest and limps back to the group, where he is scolded for his actions. The party decides its best to return to the Western side of the territory and set up camp to heal from todays combat. AS they reach the Western territory, out of the moss a tall scarecrow looking being springs forward. Its head looks like an insects with two large bug eyes, its body is lanky and looks as though it is made of pieces of other shroom creatures. The Pod creature snatches up the shroom cap friend of the party and takes off with him. The party gives chase and when they catch up to it, they see it descend through a covered entrance into the ground below. Our heroes agree to pursue the pod being to recover their new friend as it is the only attachment they have to this domain and to understanding what is going on.

The trio enter the trap doorway into the ground and descend what seems like a huge depth into the down-under.

When they reach the bottom, they notice a cavernous passageway ahead of them and venture forth. Immediately they are confronted with four of the tall pod beings swaying in the passageway. The pod guards dont seem to react to the party being there. Our heroes decide to try to sneak past them. Success! and they reach an opening into another larger cavernous room. The trio bed down for some much needed rest, taking turns on watch.

​Session 3 Oct.26.2025

Our intrepid heroes now rested up from their adventures topside, venture further into the darkness and are confronted by a nasty Shriek Shroom. They successfully kill it, are attacked by another and shrunk it to palm size then packed it in their back pack. Headed south and ran into a narrow passage surrounded by Shroom infected Spore crows. Got right down to the nitty gritty, Lucious is knocked out cold, Sakamoto is dead and Alchemy Pete dispatches two shroom crows before succumbing to the attacks of the third.

Lucious is out cold on the cavern floor. Will he survive the night? Time will tell!

Session 4 Nov.9 2025

Well our one lone hero wakes up from being knocked out and finds two new friends waiting to find out why they are here and what the heck is going on.

Lucious explains that they are on another world different from their homeland and that he is in the process of trying to help a Mushroom domain protect itself from an invading spore infected Mushroom being.

As well, Lucious says that he is in this cavernous area due to the fact that his contact with the mushroom people was snatched and brought down here so he was trying to find it.

The two new heroes are confused but agree to help. Sheriff Pete and Mr. Zeppli have now joined the party and move onward with Lucious to find the Mushroom cap friend.

They venture further south and then east only to be confronted by a group of Nakru [goblins] that are also exploring the caverns. Initially the Nakru seem confused and curious but Mr. Zeppli decides he wants to jump them and try to get past, but fails. This sends the Nakru into a rage and they attack. After almost losing another hero, the trio manage to dispatch the Nakru and move on.

The group decide to bed down and get some rest and lick their wounds.

The next day the heroes enter a larger area and head south only to be surrounded by more Nakru.

After a brief scuffle they run and manage to get away from the beasts.

Our heroes head further south down a narrow corridor and after running for some time they decide to rest again as they dont think the beasts are following. They identify some magic stones, and then decide to bed down again for the evening.

January 4th 2026

​

Our new trio of heroes, now rested from their encounter with the Nakru, venture further into the darkness.

As they gather themselves up to head off, they hear noise and a voice coming from the dark.

The party decides to investigate, so they head south west towards the sound.

As they grow closer to the voice they are confronted once again by a party of Nakru.

Initially, the Nakru are not aggressive and dont really give the heroes any grief.

Unfortunately after trying to converse with them, Zepp aggravates them enough to cause them to attack.

All the while Lucious found the location of the voice, it is another lost adventurer, Arthur [the barbarian lol]

Whilst Lucious and Arthur get acquainted, Pete and Zepp are now confronted by angry Nakru.

Lucious and their new found friend Arthur, join with Zepp and Pete to combat the Nakru, and are successful.

Pete rifles one of the bodies and finds a Stone of speaking, which he gives to Arthur.

Now re-acquainted with their Coprinop guide, the party follows it heading back to where they entered the caverns.

They reach the entrance to the large room at the beginning of the caverns only to find it has three large Mushroom quad-legged gollums roaming just ahead of them.

The party initially decides to try to sneak past them. Lucious attempts a very dexterous move and rolls forward stopping right underneath one of the fungal beasts.

Their Coprinop guide is visibly shaken and hides in a corner under its mushroom cap.

After several attempts to dispatch the three mushroom beasts,and a failed spell stone cast, they are finally successful without sustaining any major damage.

The party heads for the exit passage.

When they reach the passageway, they are stopped by three Pod sentinels. Instantly the Coprinop mushroom guide is entranced by the sentinels, their eyes a bright purple-blue and now the hood of the Coprinop guide is the same colour.

The sentinels and the Coprinop guide are now all swaying in sync with each other, in a very trance-like state.

Lucious decides to grab the guide to try to pull it away from the sentinels. He too is now entranced!

The other party members try using their shields and or weapons to try to gently release their friends but it fails.

They decide the only course of action is to attack the sentinels.

The party does so and with no interaction from the pod sentinels, they are eventually defeated and our two friends are released. Still groggy but now free.

The party continues onward and gets back to the Coprinop Domain.

The domain is very different now. Dark, smells like sulphur, hard to see anything five feet in front of you.

The party decides to wait and rest to in order to assess the situation.

January 25th, 2026

​

Our brave group of adventurers made it back to the main Coprinop domain from the Down Under. Once they surfaced, they realized things have changed. The entire domain is now dark and cloudy, almost apocalyptic in appearance. The air around them is dark and hazy, black mixed with mists of dark blood red haze. Hard to breathe. [they actually need to make a saving throw, every round to see if the air is starting to make them sick] the groups guide, whom they've now name Myc, [mike], has dropped to the ground in disbelief, its mushroom hood sinking low in despair, its "eyes' sinking back into darkness. The experienced member of the group, Lucious, begins to feel the pain, despair, confusion and worry now emanating from their guide. Lusious does his best to describe these feelings to the rest of the group.

Arthur [the barbarian], is the closest to Myc at the moment. Myc reaches out and touches Arthur's arm. Instantly Arthur is overcome with the empathetic emotion being expressed by Myc. Arthur is visibly upset. Myc communicates through emotion to Arthur a name, the Origin. Arthur gets the sense that this being is of great importance to the group, and shares that with the rest of the party. Myc then pulls Arthur to follow it westward, seemingly towards the location of this Origin being.

To help fight off possible infection, the group rips pieces of cloth from their blankets and soaks it in water to wrap around their face covering their mouth and nose. It does help so far.

They head westward, and Myc comes across a body of one of the Pod sentinels. Myc knees down beside the body and places its hands on it, seemingly to inspect it or 'scan' it somehow. The party is not sure what for or why.

While the adventurers are observing this, Sheriff Pete hears noise from behind him. Due to the dense red and black haze, he is unable to make out what is making the noise but does detect movement, very heavy movement. 

Pete decides to throw his torch in the direction of the movement and sounds. The torch hits an object and lights it up for the party to see.

A giant sized spiked beast is heading straight for the group. Covered in large, razor sharp spines, and red spore caps all over its body.Lucious charges forward throwing his battle axe at the creature. IT HITS! and does minor damage.

Zepp grabs a blanket, soaks it in glue then attempts to throw it on the beast in order to blind it. The blanket sticks but Zepp does not.

Arthur steps forward and throws a flask of oil onto the beast, soaking it.

Lucious runs forward and lights the oil with his torch. The beast ignites into flame!

Pete takes out his spiked mace and lunges at the now burning beast. SMASH!! [nat20] with one well placed blow and all of his strength, Pete manages to dispatch the nasty creature!

Arthur checks back with Myc to see if there is any change in its behaviour. Meanwhile, Zepp decides barbecued beast might be tasty and attempts to take a bite, and fails.

Myc now gets to its feet and continues West. The party follows.

[checking again against their CONstitution roll vs infection, still safe for now]

Pete is at point so Myc reaches for him to express concern and caution. Pete shares this with the rest of the party. " we need to take it easy moving forward. Myc seems to be very concerned for our safety"

Lucious decides to take point on the recommendation of the rest of the group seeing as he has previous experience dealing with Myc. Upon doing so Myc reaches for Lucious and express the strong need to find the Origin to ensure he and his people are still alive. Lucious shares this with the group, and with that they head again Westward, slowly and cautiously.

The group collectively now, are noticing movement in the darkness. Their torch light only giving them barely 5 feet of view ahead of them, is now detecting large shapes moving closer. The party can now hear the ground crunching under the footsteps of the beings. Everyone readies their weapons just in case. 

Their is no avoiding combat in the state of the surroundings they are in now, its just a matter of when.

Lucious decides to blow his bull's horn in order to bring out into view whatever is moving towards them.

Immediately the party sees four very large and bulky shapes come into view through the darkness, Red spores glowing all over the bodies of the beasts, four large Mushroom Golems appear to try to surround them. Instead, the creatures take up positions West and North of the party and root themselves into the ground.

Lucious takes up the lead and attacks the closest Shroom-Golem, Pete volleys a flaming arrow at another.

Zepp gets creative and throws glue to the ground in front of one of the creatures, then slings his rope around its legs, dropping it to the ground. He then splashes lamp oil onto the beast. 

The Golems attempt at smashing the party does not succeed. With each attempt they miss, so the party takes advantage. 

Zepp attempts to ignite the fallen Golem with his torch, but the beast swings its arm and knocks the torch away only lighting up the arm instead. ​​Pete and Lucious finally finish off the Shroom-Golem they are facing. Lucious then turns his attention to the one battling Arthur. He leaps forward and in one giant swing [nat20] lobs off the Mushroom hood of the beast, killing it instantly.

Zepp takes a hand full of spikes and drives them into his foe until it dies.

The party takes a much needed breather. 

Now that things seem to have calmed down, as far as they can see. Our adventurers set up camp to try to rest and feed themselves, as they will need all of their energies to get through this place to find the Origin!

Jan.31/26
Our heroes head westward to find the spire containing the Origin, teh supposed leader of the Mycelian Beings that are under attack. Each of them rolling save VS poison every round as the air in this area is difficult to breathe now.
The war has ravaged the surroundings. Bodies of fallen Mycelians and spore infected beasts lay everywhere. Without moving too far the group following their Mycelian guide, [Myc] find the ground in front of them and behind them shake and crumble and then two giant spore infected centipedes crash up out of the fungal floor!
Lucius and Pete attack one of the bugs, while Zeppeli attempts to tame the other but fails. Zeppeli decides to entangle the centipede in twine. He throws the beast over his shoulder and slams it into the ground.
[NAT 20!! da bug be dead!]
Lucius polishes off the other centipede with his glove blade.
The crew continues to follow Myc west and come across three deceased Mycelian guards. Myc mourns. He moves towards the entrance of a large tower. The crew vow their swords to Myc as they all enter the tower.
They come to a large set of steps, Myc climbs up but slips back down as the stairs crumble beneath him. Zeppeli gives Myc a piggyback. The heroes advance up the steps to a doorway and more stairs leading higher.
They decide to enter the doorway. The room smells acidic and bodies lay across the floor from a recent battle. Zeppeli and Pete notice some green glowing grass that lights up the closer they get with their torches, they light the grass and the entire room illuminates. Loot & bodies everywhere! They decide to sort through the loot as they head to a western exit. Suddenly, a large beast looking like a cross between a vulture and a giant sloth, with huge sharp hooked talons in place of paws, appears. Pete deflects a talon with his shield and then strikes the bird with his mace, breaking it's beak and killing it. 
[ANOTHER NAT 20!!]
The party advances forward, two Nakru appear. Pete roars and bangs his shield. The Nakru take a step back. Zeppeli and Lucius decide to act. Zeppeli tries to pick up one Nakru but struggles. Lucius throws his mace at one of them and lands the throw, damaging the Nakru. Pete fires an arrow, hitting the Nakru again. Zeppeli tries to pick up the Nakru again, succeeding and throwing the Nakru at the other. Lucius charges with his blade gloves - finishing off one of the Nakru. Lucius finishes the other Nakru off with his glove blades.
Our heroes decide it is time to lick their wounds and get some much needed rest before continuing on.
They set up a small camp and settle in.
